I am an award-winning artist filmmaker. I have always been fascinated by male sex and sexuality. Frustrated by how moving image has traditionally explored these subjects, I began making them central to my own films. My work explores naturism, cruising, internet hook-ups, dance, performance, desire, encounters between bodies, and the relationship between sexuality, the body, and nature.
I do not consider myself a pornographer, but a filmmaker who draws on my background in visual art and performance to choreograph short films in which explicit sexuality becomes part of the cinematic language. Within this practice, I explore the concepts of ecosexuality and ecopornography, considering how sexuality can become a way of thinking about our connection to the natural world, to one another, and to the environments that surround us.
As a self-produced independent filmmaker, I create artistically driven work that moves between cinema, pornography, experimental film, documentary, and visual art. My films have been presented internationally through premieres, retrospectives, award-winning screenings, and curated exhibitions, receiving recognition from festivals, programmers, curators, and cultural and academic organisations.
My work challenges conventional boundaries between art and sexually explicit moving image, creating a cinema where the erotic and the natural, the sacred and the profane, coexist.
